Community Roots Garden

Community Roots Garden (Oxnard) is a volunteer-powered space dedicated to growing fresh produce for neighbors in need while fostering sustainability, education, and community care. Volunteers of all ages are welcome to help with planting, weeding, harvesting, and irrigation—no experience needed! Join us on Wednesdays or Saturdays to learn, share, and give back to the land and each other. Tools and water are provided—just bring a sunhat and sturdy shoes! Se habla español.

SEEAG’s Volunteer Workday, Petty Ranch

Join SEEAG for our monthly volunteer days at Petty Ranch in Saticoy, where we maintain the site for our Farm to Food Lab education program and community events. Volunteers help with gardening, weeding, composting, and infrastructure projects, with tasks varying each month. Volunteer days take place every third Thursday from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM, and participants must be at least 16 years old. Come get your hands in the soil and support agricultural education! Volunteers will receive heirloom seeds and seedlings as a thank-you.
